What is the price of BSE realty index live today?
The S&P BSE REALTY last traded at 7,630.9. It was up 1.1% over its previous close.
Within the BSE Realty, the top gainers were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 4.1%) and PHOENIX MILL (up 3.7%). On the other hand, MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (down 3.4%) and EQUINOX INDIA DEVELOPMENTS (down 2.5%) were among the top losers.

The BSE realty index is a collection of stocks and not a security that is traded on any stock exchange. Hence, we cannot buy it directly.
However, there are ways in which one can invest in the BSE realty index.
One can invest in index funds or ETFs representing the index or buying future and options for it.
Which are the other important indices one should track?
Well, it depends on what your goals are.
Having said that, the two key indices to track are the BSE Sensex which contains the list of BSE 30 stocks and the NSE Nifty which contains the list of NSE 50 stocks.
However, these two indices are considered to be too narrow by some, since they only track 30 and 50 stocks, respectively.
For broader tracking, you could use the BSE 200, BSE 500 or even the NSE 500 index.
Some popular market cap based indices include BSE Smallcap index and BSE Midcap index, among others.
Which other sectoral indices should one track?
It depends on one's specific interests and investment goals.
Some popular sectoral indices to track in addition to the broader market indices are BSE power index, BSE healthcare index, BSE manufacturing index and BSE auto index.
