How To Buy Scrips in Equity Portfolio?Buy option not only allows you to add new stocks to the portfolio but it also allows you to add more quantity to an existing stock. Let's look at both these processes one by one.
PROCESS - I: ADDING NEW STOCKS TO THE PORTFOLIO Step 1 Go to Homepage, select the portfolio to which you want to add the stock and click on <Go>. In our Example we have chosen the 'high returns' portfolio and the Consolidated Holding report. You will now be directed to the Consolidated Holdings Report of your Portfolio. Step 2 Click on <Buy>. You will be directed to the Buy Scrip(s) page. Step 3 Enter the Scrip name and Click on <Go>. For example, in this case we have added HDFC as the scrip name. The tracker would extract all those companies that have HDFC in their name. You can select one or more than one stocks simultaneously. Step 4 Check the checkbox against HDFC Bank and click on <Done>. Note: You can buy more stocks by clicking on the <Add more scrips> button. Step 5 Here, you need to add/update the following details before adding the scrip to the portfolio.
Step 6 Click on <Submit>. On clicking on Submit, you will be directed to the Consolidated Holdings Report. At this stage, check that the stock has been added to the portfolio. In this case, you will find HDFC Bank been added to the portfolio. PROCESS II: ADDING MORE QUANTITY TO EXISTING SCRIPS Now, let's assume that you want to add 100 more shares to your Cadila Healthcare scrip. Step 1 Select Cadila Healthcare by clicking on the corresponding checkbox and click on <Buy>.
You will be directed to the Buy Scrip(s) page. Step 2 Before you enter the quantity you need to enter the following details and click on <Submit>:
You will be directed back to the Consolidated Holding Reports page. You will find that the quantity of Cadila Healthcare stocks has now increased from 1 to 101. |
