STEEL STRIPS & TU share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 36.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,638.2 (down 0.7%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today is NMDC (up 0.5%).

Vedanta (down 3.7%) and Hindalco (down 0.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, STEEL STRIPS & TU has moved up from Rs 19.0 to Rs 36.1, registering a gain of Rs 17.1 (up 90.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,287.1 to 31,638.2, registering a gain of 48.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Coal India (up 113.9%), NMDC (up 110.5%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 94.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 1.4%) and M&M (up 1.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,516.5 . Eicher Motor and Ultratech Cement are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,097.4 to 80,598.3, registering a gain of 13,500.8 points (up 20.1%).

STEEL STRIPS & TU Financial Update...

STEEL STRIPS & TU net profit grew 9.5% YoY to Rs -3 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 3 million a year ago. Net sales rose 20.6% to Rs 3 million during the period as against Rs 3 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, STEEL STRIPS & TU reported 11.4% increase in net profit to Rs -14 million compared to net loss of Rs 15 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 0.4% to Rs 11 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of STEEL STRIPS & TU, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -23.5.
