GVK Power & Infra share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 9.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 7,894.0 (down 2.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER index today are ABB (down 5.4%) and Siemens (down 4.9%).

KEC INTERNATIONAL (up 2.4%) and TORRENT POWER (up 1.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, GVK Power & Infra has moved up from Rs 2.6 to Rs 9.2, registering a gain of Rs 6.6 (up 251.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 3,983.3 to 7,894.0, registering a gain of 98.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 232.5%), ADANI POWER (up 185.0%) and TORRENT POWER (up 157.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,547.2 (down 0.2%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (down 1.8%) and NTPC (down 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,553.2 (down 0.2%). Bajaj Auto and Hero Motocorp are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,589.9 to 80,547.2, registering a gain of 13,957.2 points (up 21.0%).

GVK Power & Infra Financial Update...

GVK Power & Infra net profit fell 69.3% YoY to Rs -1,429 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 844 million a year ago. Net sales declined 63.1% to Rs 687 million during the period as against Rs 1,863 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, GVK Power & Infra reported 1463.0% increase in net profit to Rs 30,711 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,965 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 147.1% to Rs 21,204 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GVK Power & Infra, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 6.8.
