Blue Star share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 1,688.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 58,722.9 (down 0.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index today are DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (down 3.2%) and AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (down 2.4%).

RAJESH EXPORTS (up 2.8%) and Titan (up 0.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Blue Star has moved up from Rs 792.3 to Rs 1,688.0, registering a gain of Rs 895.7 (up 113.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 42,838.6 to 58,722.9, registering a gain of 37.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 180.3%), Blue Star (up 113.1%) and AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (up 102.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,825.8 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are SBI (up 1.3%) and Hindustan Unilever (up 1.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,645.9 (up 0.1%). ONGC and Hindustan Unilever are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,589.9 to 80,825.8, registering a gain of 14,235.8 points (up 21.4%).

Blue Star Financial Update...

Blue Star net profit fell 28.9% YoY to Rs 1,594 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,240 million a year ago. Net sales rose 26.8% to Rs 33,278 million during the period as against Rs 26,238 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Blue Star reported 3.4% increase in net profit to Rs 4,143 million compared to net profit of Rs 4,007 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 21.4% to Rs 96,854 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Blue Star, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 83.9.
