CG Power & Industrial Plunges 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 1.9%

CG Power & Industrial share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 703.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,052.5 (down 1.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are HINDUSTAN AERO. (down 4.9%) and Siemens (down 3.6%).

SCHAEFFLER INDIA (up 2.5%) and TIMKEN INDIA (up 0.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, CG Power & Industrial has moved up from Rs 406.0 to Rs 703.9, registering a gain of Rs 297.9 (up 73.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 41,426.7 to 73,052.5, registering a gain of 76.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 235.3%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 165.5%) and Bharat Electronics (up 149.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,532.1 (down 0.2%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (down 1.4%) and Tata Steel (down 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,580.9 (down 0.1%). Bajaj Auto and Asian Paints are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,589.9 to 80,532.1, registering a gain of 13,942.2 points (up 20.9%).

CG Power & Industrial Financial Update...

CG Power & Industrial net profit fell 10.1% YoY to Rs 2,338 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,600 million a year ago. Net sales rose 15.2% to Rs 21,917 million during the period as against Rs 19,028 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, CG Power & Industrial reported 9.4% increase in net profit to Rs 8,711 million compared to net profit of Rs 7,963 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 15.4% to Rs 80,460 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CG Power & Industrial, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 123.5.
