National Buildings share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 182.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,718.9 (down 0.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are Sobha (down 2.5%) and SUNTECK REALTY (down 2.1%).

Brigade Enterprises (up 1.4%) and MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 0.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 41.6 to Rs 182.0, registering a gain of Rs 140.5 (up 338.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,317.9 to 8,718.9, registering a gain of 101.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 254.6%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 220.3%) and Phoenix Mill (up 140.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,490.0 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (down 2.0%) and Bajaj Finance (down 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,527.9 (down 0.4%). Bajaj Auto and Asian Paints are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,589.9 to 80,490.0, registering a gain of 13,900.1 points (up 20.9%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 24.3% YoY to Rs 1,414 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,137 million a year ago. Net sales rose 43.0% to Rs 40,245 million during the period as against Rs 28,134 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, National Buildings reported 16.8% increase in net profit to Rs 2,780 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,379 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 13.8% to Rs 87,544 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 79.1.
