TARC Plunges 5%; BSE REALTY Index Down 1.6%

TARC share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 209.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,533.0 (down 1.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are Sobha (down 3.1%) and Phoenix Mill (down 1.7%).

SUNTECK REALTY (up 1.9%) and MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 0.2%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, TARC has moved up from Rs 64.5 to Rs 209.3, registering a gain of Rs 144.8 (up 224.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,216.3 to 8,533.0, registering a gain of 102.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 255.0%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 199.8%) and Phoenix Mill (up 145.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,708.7 (up 1.0%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are TCS (up 6.8%) and Infosys (up 3.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,561.1 (up 1.0%). TCS and Wipro are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,344.2 to 80,708.7, registering a gain of 15,364.5 points (up 23.5%).

TARC Financial Update...

TARC net profit fell 3490.2% YoY to Rs -517 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 15 million a year ago. Net sales declined 93.0% to Rs 95 million during the period as against Rs 1,350 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, TARC reported 108.8% increase in net profit to Rs 204 million compared to net loss of Rs 2,327 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 47.1% to Rs 3,687 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TARC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -80.2.
