MAZDA Gains 13%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.3%

MAZDA share price has zoomed 13% and is presently trading at Rs 1,593.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 75,463.0 (up 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Lakshmi Machine (up 1.8%) and BHEL (up 1.6%).

TIMKEN INDIA (down 2.7%) and GRINDWELL NORTON (down 2.0%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, MAZDA has moved up from Rs 890.0 to Rs 1,593.0, registering a gain of Rs 703.0 (up 79.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 40,584.0 to 75,463.0, registering a gain of 85.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 265.0%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 194.2%) and Bharat Electronics (up 173.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,988.2 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ITC (up 1.7%) and Tata Motors (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,338.5 (up 0.1%). ONGC and Coal India are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,344.2 to 79,988.2, registering a gain of 14,644.1 points (up 22.4%).

MAZDA Financial Update...

MAZDA net profit fell 11.8% YoY to Rs 94 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 106 million a year ago. Net sales declined 14.0% to Rs 576 million during the period as against Rs 669 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, MAZDA reported 25.3% increase in net profit to Rs 266 million compared to net profit of Rs 212 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 16.1% to Rs 1,915 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of MAZDA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 20.2.
