HPL ELECTRIC & POWER share price has zoomed 12% and is presently trading at Rs 524.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 75,644.7 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are BHEL (up 1.8%) and GRINDWELL NORTON (up 1.2%).

AIA Engineering (down 0.8%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA (down 0.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HPL ELECTRIC & POWER has moved up from Rs 168.5 to Rs 524.3, registering a gain of Rs 355.8 (up 211.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 40,584.0 to 75,644.7, registering a gain of 86.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 266.0%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 192.1%) and Bharat Electronics (up 173.5%).

The BSE Sensex is at 79,961.6 .

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (up 1.5%) and HCl Tech. (up 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,339.4 (up 0.1%). Tata Motors and Coal India are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,344.2 to 79,961.6, registering a gain of 14,617.4 points (up 22.4%).

HPL ELECTRIC & POWER Financial Update...

HPL ELECTRIC & POWER net profit grew 21.8% YoY to Rs 137 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 113 million a year ago. Net sales rose 16.9% to Rs 4,241 million during the period as against Rs 3,628 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HPL ELECTRIC & POWER reported 287.6% increase in net profit to Rs 302 million compared to net profit of Rs 78 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 24.5% to Rs 12,622 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HPL ELECTRIC & POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 77.3.
