HINDUSTAN COPPER share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 331.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 32,834.0 (down 1.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are SAIL (down 4.0%) and NMDC (down 2.8%).

APOLLO TUBES (up 1.0%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HINDUSTAN COPPER has moved up from Rs 118.1 to Rs 331.1, registering a gain of Rs 213.1 (up 180.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,107.3 to 32,834.0, registering a gain of 55.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were NMDC (up 126.2%), Coal India (up 108.3%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 101.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,593.3 (down 0.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (down 6.8%) and HCl Tech. (down 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,212.7 (down 0.9%). M&M and HCl Tech. are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,344.2 to 79,593.3, registering a gain of 14,249.1 points (up 21.8%).

HINDUSTAN COPPER Financial Update...

HINDUSTAN COPPER net profit fell 5.6% YoY to Rs 1,248 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,322 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.0% to Rs 5,654 million during the period as against Rs 5,598 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HINDUSTAN COPPER reported 21.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 2,953 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,741 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 7.9% to Rs 16,773 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HINDUSTAN COPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 108.3.
