ION EXCHANGE Gains 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.3%

ION EXCHANGE share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 679.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 75,738.7 (up 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Finolex Cables (up 1.2%) and Bharat Electronics (up 1.1%).

AIA Engineering (down 1.8%) and Thermax (down 1.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, ION EXCHANGE has moved up from Rs 513.6 to Rs 679.5, registering a gain of Rs 165.9 (up 32.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 40,584.0 to 75,738.7, registering a gain of 86.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 260.9%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 194.0%) and Bharat Electronics (up 175.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,228.4 (down 0.2%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (down 4.3%) and Kotak Bank (down 0.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,400.4 (down 0.1%). M&M and SBI are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,344.2 to 80,228.4, registering a gain of 14,884.2 points (up 22.8%).

ION EXCHANGE Financial Update...

ION EXCHANGE net profit fell 10.4% YoY to Rs 727 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 811 million a year ago. Net sales rose 20.7% to Rs 7,818 million during the period as against Rs 6,475 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, ION EXCHANGE reported 20.6% increase in net profit to Rs 1,950 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,617 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 26.2% to Rs 19,896 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ION EXCHANGE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 51.4.
