GTL INFRA Plunges 4%; BSE REALTY Index Up 2.1%

GTL INFRA share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 2.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,731.2 (up 2.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are SUNTECK REALTY (down 0.9%) and Phoenix Mill (down 0.7%).

Sobha (up 4.3%) and Godrej Properties (up 3.2%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, GTL INFRA has moved up from Rs 0.8 to Rs 2.1, registering a gain of Rs 1.2 (up 144.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,047.8 to 8,731.2, registering a gain of 115.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 300.0%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 236.9%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 142.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 76,899.8 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are L&T (up 1.8%) and Tech Mahindra (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,396.7 (up 0.3%). HDFC LIFE INSURANCE and Divis Laboratories are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,724.7 to 76,899.8, registering a gain of 14,175.1 points (up 22.6%).

GTL INFRA Financial Update...

GTL INFRA net profit grew 71.6% YoY to Rs -2,147 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 7,559 million a year ago. Net sales declined 12.4% to Rs 3,311 million during the period as against Rs 3,779 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, GTL INFRA reported 23.2% decrease in net profit to Rs -18,169 million compared to net loss of Rs 14,747 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 0.3% to Rs 14,579 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GTL INFRA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -3.9.
