ALEMBIC PHARMA share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 947.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 37,434.8 (up 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are HIKAL CHEMIC (down 2.5%) and AARTI DRUGS (down 2.4%).

FDC (up 5.4%) and Glenmark Pharma (up 2.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, ALEMBIC PHARMA has moved up from Rs 626.4 to Rs 947.7, registering a gain of Rs 321.3 (up 51.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 25,627.6 to 37,434.8, registering a gain of 46.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Glenmark Pharma (up 94.5%), Cadila Healthcare (up 89.3%) and GSK Pharma (up 83.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,033.3 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (up 2.5%) and Kotak Bank (up 2.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,295.6 (up 0.7%). Tata Consumer Products and Kotak Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,205.1 to 80,033.3, registering a gain of 14,828.2 points (up 22.7%).

ALEMBIC PHARMA Financial Update...

ALEMBIC PHARMA net profit grew 10.9% YoY to Rs 1,786 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,611 million a year ago. Net sales rose 7.9% to Rs 15,170 million during the period as against Rs 14,065 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, ALEMBIC PHARMA reported 80.1% increase in net profit to Rs 6,158 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,420 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 10.2% to Rs 62,286 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ALEMBIC PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 30.2.
