Tata Consumer Products share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,142.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 20,721.0 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG index today are Zydus Wellness (up 6.8%) and Tata Coffee (up 3.6%).

Ruchi Soya Industries (down 1.8%) and Balrampur Chini (down 1.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Tata Consumer Products has moved up from Rs 858.7 to Rs 1,142.9, registering a gain of Rs 284.2 (up 33.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,894.7 to 20,721.0, registering a gain of 9.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 153.0%), JYOTHY LABS (up 116.4%) and BOM.BURMAH (up 109.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,919.7 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (up 2.4%) and HDFC Bank (up 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,269.9 (up 0.6%). Kotak Bank and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,205.1 to 79,919.7, registering a gain of 14,714.6 points (up 22.6%).

Tata Consumer Products Financial Update...

Tata Consumer Products net profit fell 22.5% YoY to Rs 2,677 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,456 million a year ago. Net sales rose 8.5% to Rs 39,269 million during the period as against Rs 36,187 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Tata Consumer Products reported 3.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 13,010 million compared to net profit of Rs 13,465 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 10.3% to Rs 152,059 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Tata Consumer Products, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 83.7.
