Indraprastha Gas share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 343.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 26,854.3 (up 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are Reliance Ind. (up 1.4%) and BPCL (up 1.2%).

ADANI TOTAL GAS (down 4.9%) and IOC (down 0.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Indraprastha Gas has moved down from Rs 389.4 to Rs 343.5, registering a loss of Rs 45.9 (down 11.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 20,125.9 to 26,854.3, registering a gain of 33.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were Petronet LNG (up 71.5%), HPCL (up 67.0%) and GAIL (up 58.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,248.1 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 3.9%) and JSW Steel (up 2.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,275.3 (up 0.6%). Ultratech Cement and APOLLO HOSPITALS are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,174.2 to 80,248.1, registering a gain of 14,073.9 points (up 21.3%).

Indraprastha Gas Financial Update...

Indraprastha Gas net profit fell 21.4% YoY to Rs 3,637 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,625 million a year ago. Net sales rose 7.0% to Rs 40,884 million during the period as against Rs 38,225 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Indraprastha Gas reported 21.0% increase in net profit to Rs 19,834 million compared to net profit of Rs 16,397 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 1.0% to Rs 125,435 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Indraprastha Gas, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 16.0.
