Siemens Gains 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.9%

Siemens share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 7,538.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 70,167.4 (up 0.9%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Lakshmi Machine (up 2.4%) and Bharat Electronics (up 2.1%).

Thermax (down 1.1%) and V GUARD IND. (down 0.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Siemens has moved up from Rs 3,645.7 to Rs 7,538.2, registering a gain of Rs 3,892.5 (up 106.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 48,868.6 to 70,167.4, registering a gain of 43.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Bharat Electronics (up 115.1%), Siemens (up 106.8%) and HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 93.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,017.3 .

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (up 1.2%) and M&M (up 1.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,222.7 (up 0.1%). Bharat Electronics and Adani Enterprises are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,174.2 to 80,017.3, registering a gain of 13,843.1 points (up 20.9%).

Siemens Financial Update...

Siemens net profit grew 26.8% YoY to Rs 5,781 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,558 million a year ago. Net sales rose 6.8% to Rs 52,035 million during the period as against Rs 48,732 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended September 2023, Siemens reported 55.5% increase in net profit to Rs 19,619 million compared to net profit of Rs 12,619 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 21.2% to Rs 195,538 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Siemens, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 109.2.
