Engineers India Gains 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.9%

Engineers India share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 191.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 70,167.4 (up 0.9%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Siemens (up 4.0%) and Lakshmi Machine (up 2.4%).

Thermax (down 1.1%) and V GUARD IND. (down 0.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Engineers India has moved up from Rs 143.7 to Rs 191.5, registering a gain of Rs 47.8 (up 33.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 48,868.6 to 70,167.4, registering a gain of 43.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Bharat Electronics (up 115.1%), Siemens (up 106.8%) and HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 93.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,017.3 .

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (up 1.2%) and M&M (up 1.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,222.7 (up 0.1%). Bharat Electronics and Adani Enterprises are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,174.2 to 80,017.3, registering a gain of 13,843.1 points (up 20.9%).

Engineers India Financial Update...

Engineers India net profit fell 24.2% YoY to Rs 769 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,014 million a year ago. Net sales declined 12.8% to Rs 6,889 million during the period as against Rs 7,898 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Engineers India reported 4.6% increase in net profit to Rs 3,602 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,442 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 1.4% to Rs 32,822 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Engineers India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 38.7.
