Camlin Gains 7%; BSE FMCG Index Up 0.3%

Camlin share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 150.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 21,170.9 (up 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG index today are CCL PRODUCTS (up 2.0%) and RADICO KHAITAN (up 1.6%).

Emami (down 4.8%) and UNITED BREWERIES (down 1.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Camlin has moved down from Rs 158.7 to Rs 150.9, registering a loss of Rs 7.8 (down 4.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,985.7 to 21,170.9, registering a gain of 11.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 189.9%), BOM.BURMAH (up 81.3%) and RADICO KHAITAN (up 61.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,121.0 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (up 1.6%) and Infosys (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,204.8 . Coal India and Adani Enterprises are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,174.2 to 80,121.0, registering a gain of 13,946.8 points (up 21.1%).

Camlin Financial Update...

Camlin net profit fell 212.2% YoY to Rs -106 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 95 million a year ago. Net sales declined 11.5% to Rs 1,725 million during the period as against Rs 1,948 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Camlin reported 79.3% increase in net profit to Rs 438 million compared to net profit of Rs 244 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 5.3% to Rs 8,159 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Camlin, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 70.1.
