Lupin share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 2,040.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 43,185.1 (down 0.5%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are POLY MEDICURE (down 7.3%) and FORTIS HEALTHCARE (down 4.4%).

CAPLIN POINT (up 6.4%) and Biocon (up 5.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Lupin has moved up from Rs 1,218.9 to Rs 2,040.1, registering a gain of Rs 821.2 (up 67.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 29,918.9 to 43,185.1, registering a gain of 44.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Jubilant Pharmova (up 171.8%), SUVEN PHARMACEUTICALS (up 110.5%) and Glenmark Pharma (up 96.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,022.6 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (down 2.9%) and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 2.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,210.3 (down 0.1%). Adani Enterprises and Bajaj Auto are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,023.2 to 80,022.6, registering a gain of 13,999.4 points (up 21.2%).

Lupin Financial Update...

Lupin net profit grew 73.5% YoY to Rs 8,595 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,953 million a year ago. Net sales rose 12.6% to Rs 56,727 million during the period as against Rs 50,386 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Lupin reported 332.3% increase in net profit to Rs 19,356 million compared to net profit of Rs 4,477 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 20.2% to Rs 200,108 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Lupin, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 35.1.
