Bajaj Auto Plunges 3%; BSE AUTO Index Down 1.1%

Bajaj Auto share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 9,138.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO index is at 53,013.1 (down 1.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE AUTO index today are Eicher Motor (down 1.9%) and M&M (down 1.9%).

TUBE INVESTMENTS OF INDIA (up 2.2%) and Balkrishna Ind (up 0.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Bajaj Auto has moved up from Rs 5,755.4 to Rs 9,138.2, registering a gain of Rs 3,382.8 (up 58.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE AUTO index has moved up from 38,655.8 to 53,013.1, registering a gain of 37.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE AUTO index stocks during this same period were M&M (up 93.6%), Motherson Sumi (up 89.5%) and Cummins India (up 89.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,861.8 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 3.3%) and Ultratech Cement (down 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,148.1 (down 0.3%). Adani Enterprises and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,023.2 to 79,861.8, registering a gain of 13,838.5 points (up 21.0%).

Bajaj Auto Financial Update...

Bajaj Auto net profit grew 7.0% YoY to Rs 19,657 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 18,364 million a year ago. Net sales rose 22.2% to Rs 132,473 million during the period as against Rs 108,382 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Bajaj Auto reported 27.2% increase in net profit to Rs 77,082 million compared to net profit of Rs 60,602 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 23.1% to Rs 448,704 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Bajaj Auto, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 32.4.
