ABB Gains 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 3.5%

ABB share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 7,214.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 69,778.3 (up 3.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Siemens (up 6.4%) and Bharat Electronics (up 4.5%).

Thermax (down 0.9%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 0.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, ABB has moved up from Rs 4,342.3 to Rs 7,214.1, registering a gain of Rs 2,871.9 (up 66.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 48,608.7 to 69,778.3, registering a gain of 43.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Bharat Electronics (up 105.3%), Siemens (up 103.1%) and HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 99.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,969.4 (up 1.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are L&T (up 4.0%) and SBI (up 3.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Power Grid Corp. and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,201.3 (up 1.2%). ONGC and Bharat Electronics are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,930.8 to 79,969.4, registering a gain of 14,038.7 points (up 21.3%).

ABB Financial Update...

ABB net profit grew 21.7% YoY to Rs 4,405 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,620 million a year ago. Net sales rose 5.2% to Rs 29,122 million during the period as against Rs 27,692 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended December 2023, ABB reported 21.7% increase in net profit to Rs 12,482 million compared to net profit of Rs 10,256 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 21.9% to Rs 104,465 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ABB, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 90.6.
