Symphony Plunges 4%; BSE CONSUMER DURABLES Index Up 1.6%

Symphony share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,342.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 63,044.6 (up 1.6%).

AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (up 2.9%) and WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA (up 2.3%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Symphony has moved up from Rs 875.4 to Rs 1,342.7, registering a gain of Rs 467.3 (up 53.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 46,388.6 to 63,044.6, registering a gain of 35.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 187.3%), AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (up 102.7%) and Voltas (up 98.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,348.0 (up 1.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are SBI (up 3.6%) and L&T (up 3.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Power Grid Corp. and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,308.2 (up 1.7%). Bharat Electronics and BPCL are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,930.8 to 80,348.0, registering a gain of 14,417.2 points (up 21.9%).

Symphony Financial Update...

Symphony net profit grew 60.0% YoY to Rs 560 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 350 million a year ago. Net sales rose 14.5% to Rs 3,150 million during the period as against Rs 2,750 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Symphony reported 27.8% increase in net profit to Rs 1,481 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,159 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 2.7% to Rs 11,561 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Symphony, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 39.6.
