GRAVITA INDIA Gains 14%; BSE METAL Index Up 1.3%

GRAVITA INDIA share price has zoomed 14% and is presently trading at Rs 1,306.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 33,554.0 (up 1.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are Coal India (up 3.2%) and Jindal Steel (up 2.3%).

APOLLO TUBES (down 2.7%) and Hindustan Zinc (down 1.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, GRAVITA INDIA has moved up from Rs 588.7 to Rs 1,306.2, registering a gain of Rs 717.5 (up 121.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 20,054.0 to 33,554.0, registering a gain of 67.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were NMDC (up 140.3%), Hindustan Zinc (up 130.2%) and Coal India (up 114.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 76,914.0 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Power Grid Corp. (up 2.0%) and Bajaj Finance (up 1.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,418.9 (up 0.7%). Coal India and Power Grid Corp. are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,724.7 to 76,914.0, registering a gain of 14,189.3 points (up 22.6%).

GRAVITA INDIA Financial Update...

GRAVITA INDIA net profit grew 8.5% YoY to Rs 694 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 640 million a year ago. Net sales rose 15.3% to Rs 8,634 million during the period as against Rs 7,489 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, GRAVITA INDIA reported 37.5% increase in net profit to Rs 2,041 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,485 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 26.4% to Rs 28,006 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GRAVITA INDIA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 37.2.
