GMR POWER & URBAN share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 84.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 72,656.4 .

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are AIA Engineering (down 2.7%) and Lakshmi Machine (down 2.4%).

Thermax (up 6.3%) and ABB (up 3.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, GMR POWER & URBAN has moved up from Rs 17.6 to Rs 84.1, registering a gain of Rs 66.5 (up 379.0%).

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,036.1 (up 0.7%). Ultratech Cement and LTIMINDTREE are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 79,245.0, registering a gain of 16,275.0 points (up 25.8%).

GMR POWER & URBAN Financial Update...

GMR POWER & URBAN net profit grew 177.0% YoY to Rs 2,467 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 3,204 million a year ago. Net sales rose 14.8% to Rs 16,345 million during the period as against Rs 14,234 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, GMR POWER & URBAN reported 274.9% increase in net profit to Rs 11,395 million compared to net loss of Rs 6,515 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 34.7% to Rs 55,247 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GMR POWER & URBAN, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 116.2.
