J&K Bank Gains 3%; BSE BANKEX Index Down 0.6%

J&K Bank share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 104.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX index is at 59,294.9 (down 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE BANKEX index today are Federal Bank (up 1.0%) and IDFC FIRST BANK (up 0.9%).

ICICI Bank (down 1.4%) and Indusind Bank (down 1.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, J&K Bank has moved down from Rs 105.4 to Rs 104.4, registering a loss of Rs 1.0 (down 0.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX index has moved up from 49,320.6 to 59,294.9, registering a gain of 20.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE BANKEX index stocks during this same period were SBI (up 48.9%), Federal Bank (up 43.4%) and ICICI Bank (up 35.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tech Mahindra (down 2.5%) and M&M (down 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Reliance Ind..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,239.1 (down 1.0%). Hindalco and Shriram Transport are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,958.7 to 79,640.4, registering a gain of 14,681.7 points (up 22.6%).

J&K Bank Financial Update...

J&K Bank net profit grew 44.8% YoY to Rs 5,527 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,816 million a year ago. Net sales rose 13.0% to Rs 31,237 million during the period as against Rs 27,644 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, J&K Bank reported 50.0% increase in net profit to Rs 17,712 million compared to net profit of Rs 11,805 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 19.9% to Rs 112,132 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of J&K Bank, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 5.7.
