Oil India Gains 6%; BSE OIL & GAS Index Up 1.8%

Oil India share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 524.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 27,775.9 (up 1.8%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are GAIL (up 5.9%) and HPCL (up 3.7%).

ONGC (down 0.3%) and Reliance Ind. (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Oil India has moved up from Rs 207.8 to Rs 524.4, registering a gain of Rs 316.5 (up 152.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 18,960.3 to 27,775.9, registering a gain of 46.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were HPCL (up 122.7%), BPCL (up 72.0%) and GAIL (up 68.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,044.2 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are HCl Tech. (up 3.6%) and TCS (up 3.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and Infosys.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,381.8 (up 0.7%). TCS and HCl Tech. are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,958.7 to 80,044.2, registering a gain of 15,085.5 points (up 23.2%).

Oil India Financial Update...

Oil India net profit grew 165.4% YoY to Rs 18,432 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 6,944 million a year ago. Net sales declined 7.7% to Rs 81,359 million during the period as against Rs 88,165 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Oil India reported 29.2% decrease in net profit to Rs 69,805 million compared to net profit of Rs 98,544 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 8.1% to Rs 286,284 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Oil India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.3.
