Colgate share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 2,873.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 20,519.3 (up 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG index today are Tata Coffee (up 3.6%) and RADICO KHAITAN (up 2.0%).

Shree Renuka Sugars (down 1.7%) and GODREJ AGROVET (down 1.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Colgate has moved up from Rs 1,667.1 to Rs 2,873.4, registering a gain of Rs 1,206.3 (up 72.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,497.6 to 20,519.3, registering a gain of 10.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 171.3%), JYOTHY LABS (up 93.6%) and BOM.BURMAH (up 88.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 78,855.0 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 2.6%) and JSW Steel (up 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and M&M.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,918.2 (up 0.2%). Ultratech Cement and Dr. Reddys are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 78,855.0, registering a gain of 15,885.0 points (up 25.2%).

Colgate Financial Update...

Colgate net profit grew 20.1% YoY to Rs 3,798 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,162 million a year ago. Net sales rose 10.3% to Rs 14,900 million during the period as against Rs 13,506 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Colgate reported 2.9% decrease in net profit to Rs 10,471 million compared to net profit of Rs 10,783 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 2.5% to Rs 52,262 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Colgate, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 59.0.
