Bajaj Auto Plunges 4%; BSE AUTO Index Down 0.7%

Bajaj Auto share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 9,510.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO index is at 53,900.8 (down 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE AUTO index today are Hero Motocorp (down 1.9%) and TVS Motors (down 1.8%).

M&M (up 3.2%) and Eicher Motor (up 0.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Bajaj Auto has moved up from Rs 5,314.4 to Rs 9,510.1, registering a gain of Rs 4,195.7 (up 79.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE AUTO index has moved up from 36,172.0 to 53,900.8, registering a gain of 49.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE AUTO index stocks during this same period were Cummins India (up 106.4%), Motherson Sumi (up 99.2%) and M&M (up 98.1%).

The BSE Sensex is at 79,073.2 (down 1.0%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Sun Pharma (down 3.1%) and Infosys (down 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,076.7 (down 0.9%). IOC and Sun Pharma are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,874.9 to 79,073.2, registering a gain of 15,198.2 points (up 23.8%).

Bajaj Auto Financial Update...

Bajaj Auto net profit grew 7.0% YoY to Rs 19,657 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 18,364 million a year ago. Net sales rose 22.2% to Rs 132,473 million during the period as against Rs 108,382 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Bajaj Auto reported 27.2% increase in net profit to Rs 77,082 million compared to net profit of Rs 60,602 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 23.1% to Rs 448,704 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Bajaj Auto, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 33.8.
