TRF Gains 8%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.5%

TRF share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 445.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 67,621.0 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are GRINDWELL NORTON (up 2.6%) and Bharat Electronics (up 2.6%).

Honeywell Automation (down 7.7%) and V GUARD IND. (down 2.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, TRF has moved up from Rs 243.7 to Rs 445.8, registering a gain of Rs 202.2 (up 83.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 45,914.5 to 67,621.0, registering a gain of 47.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 133.2%), Bharat Electronics (up 120.5%) and Siemens (up 101.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,072.0 (down 0.4%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Sun Pharma (down 1.5%) and ICICI Bank (down 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Motors and Power Grid Corp..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,374.8 (down 0.4%). Cipla and Dr. Reddys are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,112.7 to 80,072.0, registering a gain of 15,959.3 points (up 24.9%).

TRF Financial Update...

TRF net profit fell 64.2% YoY to Rs 60 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 168 million a year ago. Net sales declined 16.7% to Rs 327 million during the period as against Rs 393 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, TRF reported 54.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 396 million compared to net profit of Rs 875 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 21.0% to Rs 1,400 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TRF, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 18.8.
