Godrej Consumer Gains 4%; BSE FMCG Index Up 0.7%

Godrej Consumer share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,311.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 21,449.4 (up 0.7%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG index today are RADICO KHAITAN (up 3.7%) and UNITED BREWERIES (up 2.7%).

HATSUN AGRO PRODUCTS (down 3.3%) and CCL PRODUCTS (down 1.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Godrej Consumer has moved up from Rs 980.8 to Rs 1,311.0, registering a gain of Rs 330.2 (up 33.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,541.7 to 21,449.4, registering a gain of 15.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 208.3%), RADICO KHAITAN (up 100.7%) and BOM.BURMAH (up 96.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,187.3 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Axis Bank (up 1.2%) and Nestle (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,418.1 (up 0.1%). Axis Bank and ITC are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,571.9 to 80,187.3, registering a gain of 15,615.5 points (up 24.2%).

Godrej Consumer Financial Update...

Godrej Consumer net profit grew 13.5% YoY to Rs 4,913 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,328 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.8% to Rs 36,663 million during the period as against Rs 36,020 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Godrej Consumer reported 132.9% decrease in net profit to Rs -5,606 million compared to net profit of Rs 17,025 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 5.9% to Rs 140,961 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Godrej Consumer, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -362.3.
