Johnson Controls share price has plunged 8% and is presently trading at Rs 2,246.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 62,866.7 (down 0.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index today are WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA (down 2.5%) and AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (down 1.0%).

RAJESH EXPORTS (up 4.2%) and DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 0.3%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Johnson Controls has moved up from Rs 1,126.0 to Rs 2,246.5, registering a gain of Rs 1,120.5 (up 99.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 44,784.7 to 62,866.7, registering a gain of 40.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 183.2%), AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (up 127.4%) and Voltas (up 118.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,844.3 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Hindustan Unilever (down 5.3%) and Nestle (down 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,362.2 (down 0.3%). Hindustan Unilever and Hindalco are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,571.9 to 79,844.3, registering a gain of 15,272.4 points (up 23.7%).

Johnson Controls Financial Update...

Johnson Controls net profit grew 46.7% YoY to Rs -301 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 564 million a year ago. Net sales rose 41.5% to Rs 3,963 million during the period as against Rs 2,802 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Johnson Controls reported 7.8% increase in net profit to Rs -757 million compared to net loss of Rs 821 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 19.5% to Rs 19,187 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Johnson Controls, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 219.7.
