Hindustan Unilever share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 2,515.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 21,526.7 (down 1.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE FMCG index today are Godfrey Phillips (down 1.9%) and Emami (down 1.7%).

JYOTHY LABS (up 2.4%) and RADICO KHAITAN (up 1.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Hindustan Unilever has moved up from Rs 2,484.6 to Rs 2,515.0, registering a gain of Rs 30.4 (up 1.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,541.7 to 21,526.7, registering a gain of 16.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 219.1%), RADICO KHAITAN (up 91.9%) and BOM.BURMAH (up 91.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,861.8 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Nestle (down 1.6%) and Bharti Airtel (down 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,362.2 (down 0.3%). Hindalco and SBI LIFE INSURANCE are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,571.9 to 79,861.8, registering a gain of 15,289.9 points (up 23.7%).

Hindustan Unilever Financial Update...

Hindustan Unilever net profit fell 2.2% YoY to Rs 26,010 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 26,590 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.9% to Rs 159,260 million during the period as against Rs 156,230 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Hindustan Unilever reported 1.4% increase in net profit to Rs 102,820 million compared to net profit of Rs 101,430 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 2.2% to Rs 618,960 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Hindustan Unilever, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 57.5.
