APOLLO TUBES share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,462.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,613.0 (down 0.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are SAIL (down 3.3%) and Tata Steel (down 1.1%).

Hindustan Zinc (up 2.1%) and NMDC (up 1.3%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, APOLLO TUBES has moved down from Rs 1,640.9 to Rs 1,462.5, registering a loss of Rs 178.4 (down 10.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 22,271.2 to 31,613.0, registering a gain of 41.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 115.5%), Hindustan Zinc (up 72.7%) and Hindalco (up 57.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (down 3.0%) and Sun Pharma (down 2.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,436.0 (down 0.2%). M&M and Sun Pharma are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,571.9 to 80,082.0, registering a gain of 15,510.1 points (up 24.0%).

APOLLO TUBES Financial Update...

APOLLO TUBES net profit fell 0.2% YoY to Rs 1,932 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,936 million a year ago. Net sales rose 9.4% to Rs 49,743 million during the period as against Rs 45,449 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, APOLLO TUBES reported 14.1% increase in net profit to Rs 7,324 million compared to net profit of Rs 6,419 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 12.1% to Rs 181,188 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of APOLLO TUBES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 55.4.
