PG Electroplast Plunges 5%; BSE FMCG Index Down 1.2%

PG Electroplast share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 585.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 21,999.0 (down 1.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE FMCG index today are Tata Consumer Products (down 7.3%) and Shree Renuka Sugars (down 4.2%).

BOM.BURMAH (up 4.2%) and JYOTHY LABS (up 1.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, PG Electroplast has moved up from Rs 195.4 to Rs 585.0, registering a gain of Rs 389.6 (up 199.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 19,064.5 to 21,999.0, registering a gain of 15.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 201.0%), BOM.BURMAH (up 134.6%) and RADICO KHAITAN (up 75.8%).

The BSE Sensex is at 81,151.3 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Kotak Bank (down 4.7%) and Bajaj Finserv (down 3.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,739.5 (down 0.5%). Tata Consumer Products and Kotak Bank are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,428.1 to 81,151.3, registering a gain of 14,723.2 points (up 22.2%).

PG Electroplast Financial Update...

PG Electroplast net profit grew 151.2% YoY to Rs 849 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 338 million a year ago. Net sales rose 94.9% to Rs 13,207 million during the period as against Rs 6,776 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, PG Electroplast reported 76.9% increase in net profit to Rs 1,370 million compared to net profit of Rs 775 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 27.2% to Rs 27,465 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PG Electroplast, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 81.4.
