National Buildings Plunges 5%; BSE REALTY Index Down 1.4%

National Buildings share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 102.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,074.6 (down 1.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are Godrej Properties (down 2.6%) and Phoenix Mill (down 2.4%).

OBEROI REALTY (up 3.2%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 43.1 to Rs 102.5, registering a gain of Rs 59.4 (up 138.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,869.2 to 8,074.6, registering a gain of 65.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 144.5%), Sobha (up 126.0%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 103.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,125.6 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Kotak Bank (down 4.3%) and Bajaj Finserv (down 3.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,765.3 (down 0.4%). Tata Consumer Products and Kotak Bank are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,428.1 to 81,125.6, registering a gain of 14,697.5 points (up 22.1%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 38.4% YoY to Rs 1,072 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 775 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.8% to Rs 21,442 million during the period as against Rs 19,179 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, National Buildings reported 49.1% increase in net profit to Rs 4,144 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,780 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 17.5% to Rs 104,326 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 62.3.
