ELPRO INTER Plunges 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 0.7%

ELPRO INTER share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 134.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 71,873.5 (down 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are BHEL (down 4.7%) and Siemens (down 2.9%).

V GUARD IND. (up 1.0%) and AIA Engineering (up 0.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, ELPRO INTER has moved up from Rs 76.5 to Rs 134.1, registering a gain of Rs 57.6 (up 75.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 48,111.6 to 71,873.5, registering a gain of 49.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 130.8%), Siemens (up 115.2%) and Bharat Electronics (up 107.5%).

The BSE Sensex is at 81,003.6 (down 0.6%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (down 3.4%) and M&M (down 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Reliance Ind..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,753.8 (down 0.9%). Bajaj Auto and Shriram Transport are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,166.9 to 81,003.6, registering a gain of 14,836.7 points (up 22.4%).

ELPRO INTER Financial Update...

ELPRO INTER net profit grew 144.0% YoY to Rs 475 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 195 million a year ago. Net sales rose 170.5% to Rs 1,393 million during the period as against Rs 515 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, ELPRO INTER reported 95.5% decrease in net profit to Rs 479 million compared to net profit of Rs 10,567 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 70.0% to Rs 1,231 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ELPRO INTER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 20.1.
