HCC Gains 5%; BSE REALTY Index Up 1.5%

HCC share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 44.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,245.8 (up 1.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are OBEROI REALTY (up 4.1%) and Godrej Properties (up 2.4%).

Brigade Enterprises (down 1.1%) and SUNTECK REALTY (down 0.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HCC has moved up from Rs 26.6 to Rs 44.5, registering a gain of Rs 17.9 (up 67.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,842.1 to 8,245.8, registering a gain of 70.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 156.1%), Sobha (up 132.4%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 110.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,997.3 (up 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tech Mahindra (up 2.7%) and L&T (up 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,131.8 (up 0.7%). Wipro and L&T are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,079.4 to 81,997.3, registering a gain of 15,918.0 points (up 24.1%).

HCC Financial Update...

HCC net profit fell 140.0% YoY to Rs -159 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 397 million a year ago. Net sales declined 5.7% to Rs 18,160 million during the period as against Rs 19,265 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, HCC reported 1108.2% increase in net profit to Rs 5,294 million compared to net loss of Rs 525 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 15.3% to Rs 70,067 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HCC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.3.
