Siemens Gains 3%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 1.5%

Siemens share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 7,617.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 71,791.8 (up 1.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Lakshmi Machine (up 4.7%) and Graphite India (up 3.9%).

V GUARD IND. (down 0.1%) and BHEL (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Siemens has moved up from Rs 3,542.3 to Rs 7,617.4, registering a gain of Rs 4,075.1 (up 115.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 47,558.7 to 71,791.8, registering a gain of 51.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 130.0%), Siemens (up 115.0%) and BHEL (up 110.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,045.5 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (up 2.3%) and Tech Mahindra (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,178.3 (up 0.7%). Shriram Transport and Trent are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,512.4 to 82,045.5, registering a gain of 16,533.1 points (up 25.2%).

Siemens Financial Update...

Siemens net profit grew 26.8% YoY to Rs 5,781 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,558 million a year ago. Net sales rose 6.8% to Rs 52,035 million during the period as against Rs 48,732 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended September 2023, Siemens reported 55.5% increase in net profit to Rs 19,619 million compared to net profit of Rs 12,619 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 21.2% to Rs 195,538 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Siemens, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 110.3.
