HPL ELECTRIC & POWER share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 544.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 70,071.2 (up 1.9%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 4.3%) and Bharat Electronics (up 3.4%).

Thermax (down 0.9%) and GRINDWELL NORTON (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HPL ELECTRIC & POWER has moved up from Rs 207.6 to Rs 544.1, registering a gain of Rs 336.5 (up 162.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 47,570.0 to 70,071.2, registering a gain of 47.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 126.7%), BHEL (up 108.0%) and Siemens (up 106.2%).

The BSE Sensex is at 81,472.3 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (up 2.6%) and M&M (up 2.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,964.2 (up 0.7%). Trent and Bharat Electronics are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,226.0 to 81,472.3, registering a gain of 16,246.2 points (up 24.9%).

HPL ELECTRIC & POWER Financial Update...

HPL ELECTRIC & POWER net profit grew 145.5% YoY to Rs 170 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 69 million a year ago. Net sales rose 22.5% to Rs 3,929 million during the period as against Rs 3,207 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, HPL ELECTRIC & POWER reported 44.2% increase in net profit to Rs 436 million compared to net profit of Rs 302 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 15.7% to Rs 14,609 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HPL ELECTRIC & POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 65.1.
