REMI METALS Gains 5%; BSE METAL Index Down 1.9%

REMI METALS share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 51.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 32,865.5 (down 1.9%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are Hindustan Zinc (up 2.1%) and Coal India (up 0.4%).

NMDC (down 4.6%) and Tata Steel (down 3.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, REMI METALS has moved up from Rs 35.7 to Rs 51.7, registering a gain of Rs 16.0 (up 44.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 22,570.7 to 32,865.5, registering a gain of 45.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 121.8%), Coal India (up 67.5%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 63.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,329.8 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (up 1.6%) and Hindustan Unilever (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,874.0 (up 0.3%). MUNDRA PORT & SEZ and Bharat Electronics are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,226.0 to 81,329.8, registering a gain of 16,103.7 points (up 24.7%).

REMI METALS Financial Update...

REMI METALS net profit fell 82.5% YoY to Rs 20 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 111 million a year ago. Net sales declined 0.4% to Rs 1,621 million during the period as against Rs 1,628 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, REMI METALS reported 554.7% increase in net profit to Rs 625 million compared to net loss of Rs 137 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 66.7% to Rs 6,967 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of REMI METALS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 51.5.
