GTL INFRA Gains 5%; BSE REALTY Index Down 0.4%

GTL INFRA share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 3.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,675.3 (down 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 1.7%) and PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 0.4%).

Brigade Enterprises (down 1.7%) and OBEROI REALTY (down 1.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, GTL INFRA has moved up from Rs 0.8 to Rs 3.0, registering a gain of Rs 2.2 (up 272.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,070.4 to 8,675.3, registering a gain of 113.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 297.8%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 244.8%) and INDIABULLS REAL EST (up 160.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 78,111.7 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 1.7%) and ICICI Bank (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ICICI Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,703.8 (down 0.1%). APOLLO HOSPITALS and Hindalco are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 78,111.7, registering a gain of 15,141.7 points (up 24.0%).

GTL INFRA Financial Update...

GTL INFRA net profit grew 71.6% YoY to Rs -2,147 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 7,559 million a year ago. Net sales declined 12.4% to Rs 3,311 million during the period as against Rs 3,779 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, GTL INFRA reported 23.2% decrease in net profit to Rs -18,169 million compared to net loss of Rs 14,747 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 0.3% to Rs 14,579 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GTL INFRA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -5.6.
