Symphony Gains 4%; BSE CONSUMER DURABLES Index Up 0.2%

Symphony share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,632.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 67,810.8 (up 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index today are CROMPTON GREAVES CONSUMER ELEC. (up 2.9%) and DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 2.0%).

Titan (down 1.1%) and VAIBHAV GEMS (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Symphony has moved up from Rs 876.7 to Rs 1,632.2, registering a gain of Rs 755.5 (up 86.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 45,890.4 to 67,810.8, registering a gain of 47.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 166.3%), Blue Star (up 135.7%) and Voltas (up 113.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,490.5 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tech Mahindra (up 3.8%) and Bajaj Finserv (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,810.9 (down 1.4%). Hero Motocorp and Reliance Ind. are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,118.7 to 84,490.5, registering a gain of 18,371.8 points (up 27.8%).

Symphony Financial Update...

Symphony net profit grew 266.7% YoY to Rs 880 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 240 million a year ago. Net sales rose 75.8% to Rs 5,310 million during the period as against Rs 3,020 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Symphony reported 27.8% increase in net profit to Rs 1,481 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,159 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 2.7% to Rs 11,561 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Symphony, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 52.9.
