Power Grid Corp. share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 354.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,747.3 .

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER index today are INDIAN ENERGY EXCHANGE (down 1.2%) and Thermax (down 1.2%).

BHEL (up 2.3%) and Siemens (up 1.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Power Grid Corp. has moved up from Rs 198.9 to Rs 354.6, registering a gain of Rs 155.7 (up 78.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,622.9 to 8,747.3, registering a gain of 89.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were TORRENT POWER (up 165.4%), BHEL (up 129.2%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 105.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 85,614.0 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Bharti Airtel (down 2.3%) and L&T (down 1.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 26,185.8 (down 0.1%). Bharti Airtel and L&T are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,023.7 to 85,614.0, registering a gain of 19,590.3 points (up 29.7%).

Power Grid Corp. Financial Update...

Power Grid Corp. net profit fell 4.8% YoY to Rs 37,572 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 39,480 million a year ago. Net sales declined 0.4% to Rs 110,062 million during the period as against Rs 110,481 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Power Grid Corp. reported 1.0% increase in net profit to Rs 155,732 million compared to net profit of Rs 154,197 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 0.5% to Rs 458,431 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Power Grid Corp., based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 20.6.
