Voltas share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 1,842.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 67,248.9 (down 1.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index today are CROMPTON GREAVES CONSUMER ELEC. (down 5.7%) and AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (down 2.5%).

Blue Star (up 4.1%) and WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA (up 2.3%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Voltas has moved up from Rs 875.3 to Rs 1,842.3, registering a gain of Rs 967.0 (up 110.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 46,147.0 to 67,248.9, registering a gain of 45.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 187.2%), Blue Star (up 134.1%) and Voltas (up 110.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 85,698.6 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Maruti Suzuki (up 4.7%) and Bajaj Finserv (up 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 26,187.5 (up 0.7%). Maruti Suzuki and M&M are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,023.7 to 85,698.6, registering a gain of 19,674.9 points (up 29.8%).

Voltas Financial Update...

Voltas net profit grew 127.1% YoY to Rs 3,644 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,605 million a year ago. Net sales rose 46.5% to Rs 49,210 million during the period as against Rs 33,599 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Voltas reported 82.1% increase in net profit to Rs 2,481 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,362 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 31.4% to Rs 124,812 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Voltas, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 103.2.
