DPSC Gains 10%; BSE POWER Index Up 0.4%

DPSC share price has zoomed 10% and is presently trading at Rs 20.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,725.8 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are KEC INTERNATIONAL (up 3.7%) and Power Grid Corp. (up 3.5%).

INDIAN ENERGY EXCHANGE (down 3.9%) and TORRENT POWER (down 1.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, DPSC has moved up from Rs 16.4 to Rs 20.0, registering a gain of Rs 3.6 (up 21.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,622.9 to 8,725.8, registering a gain of 88.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were TORRENT POWER (up 163.4%), BHEL (up 124.6%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 102.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,914.1 .

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Power Grid Corp. (up 3.5%) and Axis Bank (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,925.2 (down 0.1%). LTIMINDTREE and Tech Mahindra are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,023.7 to 84,914.1, registering a gain of 18,890.4 points (up 28.6%).

DPSC Financial Update...

DPSC net profit grew 12.4% YoY to Rs 31 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 28 million a year ago. Net sales declined 4.0% to Rs 1,717 million during the period as against Rs 1,788 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, DPSC reported 2.9% increase in net profit to Rs 158 million compared to net profit of Rs 154 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 7.0% to Rs 6,231 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of DPSC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 113.7.
