Godrej Properties Gains 7%; BSE REALTY Index Up 2.3%

Godrej Properties share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 3,189.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,810.9 (up 2.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are DLF (up 4.0%) and Sobha (up 2.6%).

Phoenix Mill (down 2.5%) and SUNTECK REALTY (down 0.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Godrej Properties has moved up from Rs 1,588.3 to Rs 3,189.3, registering a gain of Rs 1,601.0 (up 100.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,578.0 to 8,810.9, registering a gain of 92.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 216.2%), Sobha (up 213.1%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 128.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,944.4 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (up 3.3%) and SBI (up 2.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ICICI Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,951.1 (up 0.6%). M&M and Bajaj Auto are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,800.8 to 84,944.4, registering a gain of 18,143.5 points (up 27.2%).

Godrej Properties Financial Update...

Godrej Properties net profit grew 584.2% YoY to Rs 5,806 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 849 million a year ago. Net sales declined 21.1% to Rs 7,390 million during the period as against Rs 9,361 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Godrej Properties reported 20.4% increase in net profit to Rs 7,471 million compared to net profit of Rs 6,206 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 34.8% to Rs 30,356 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Godrej Properties, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 73.0.
