STEEL STRIPS & TU share price has plunged 8% and is presently trading at Rs 32.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,339.8 (down 1.0%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are SAIL (down 2.8%) and Jindal Steel (down 1.9%).

Hindustan Zinc (up 0.9%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, STEEL STRIPS & TU has moved up from Rs 23.0 to Rs 32.0, registering a gain of Rs 9.0 (up 39.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 23,270.6 to 31,339.8, registering a gain of 34.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 88.6%), Coal India (up 70.3%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 53.9%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (up 2.3%) and Nestle (up 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,397.8 (up 0.1%). NTPC and Nestle are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,596.8 to 83,145.3, registering a gain of 15,548.4 points (up 23.0%).

STEEL STRIPS & TU Financial Update...

STEEL STRIPS & TU net profit grew 3.9% YoY to Rs -3 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 4 million a year ago. Net sales rose 14.7% to Rs 3 million during the period as against Rs 3 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, STEEL STRIPS & TU reported 2.7% increase in net profit to Rs -13 million compared to net loss of Rs 14 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 9.9% to Rs 12 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of STEEL STRIPS & TU, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -21.0.
