BHARAT WIRE ROPES share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 258.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,339.1 (down 1.0%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are SAIL (down 2.8%) and Coal India (down 1.4%).

Hindustan Zinc (up 0.8%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, BHARAT WIRE ROPES has moved up from Rs 257.7 to Rs 258.0, registering a gain of Rs 0.4 (up 0.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 23,270.6 to 31,339.1, registering a gain of 34.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 88.0%), Coal India (up 70.9%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 53.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 83,188.5 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (up 2.7%) and Nestle (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,411.4 (up 0.1%). NTPC and Nestle are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,596.8 to 83,188.5, registering a gain of 15,591.7 points (up 23.1%).

BHARAT WIRE ROPES Financial Update...

BHARAT WIRE ROPES net profit fell 23.8% YoY to Rs 181 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 237 million a year ago. Net sales declined 15.7% to Rs 1,335 million during the period as against Rs 1,584 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, BHARAT WIRE ROPES reported 54.6% increase in net profit to Rs 962 million compared to net profit of Rs 622 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 5.6% to Rs 6,218 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BHARAT WIRE ROPES , based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 19.5.
