Indraprastha Gas Gains 6%; BSE OIL & GAS Index Down 0.1%

Indraprastha Gas share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 557.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 30,709.3 (down 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are GUJARAT GAS (up 0.4%) and ONGC (up 0.3%).

Petronet LNG (down 1.4%) and BPCL (down 1.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Indraprastha Gas has moved up from Rs 463.1 to Rs 557.0, registering a gain of Rs 93.9 (up 20.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 19,192.0 to 30,709.3, registering a gain of 60.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were HPCL (up 139.7%), BPCL (up 89.0%) and IOC (up 83.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 2.1%) and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 1.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Motors and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,412.3 (up 0.1%). Hero Motocorp and Divis Laboratories are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,467.0 to 82,984.8, registering a gain of 15,517.8 points (up 23.0%).

Indraprastha Gas Financial Update...

Indraprastha Gas net profit fell 8.9% YoY to Rs 3,995 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,384 million a year ago. Net sales rose 3.4% to Rs 38,915 million during the period as against Rs 37,619 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Indraprastha Gas reported 21.0% increase in net profit to Rs 19,834 million compared to net profit of Rs 16,397 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 1.0% to Rs 125,435 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Indraprastha Gas, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 24.3.
